Zurzuvae (zuranolone), the first oral medication to treat postpartum depression (PPD) in adults. PPD is a major depressive episode that typically occurs after childbirth. Until now, treatment for PPD was only available as an IV injection to be given in a health care facility. ZURZUVAE is a once-daily, oral, 14-day medicine.  Zuranolone is a neuroactive steroid (NAS) GABA-A receptor positive allosteric modulator (PAM).
